A year ago Nick and I planted Silver Maple Trees along our property line. Spring is here again and guess what? They are blooming! I am one proud Earth Mama. These trees were your typical Lowe's springtime trees in the black buckets. They only have a one year warranty so it was a little bit of a gamble. The year prior we planted tree starters and they didn't last. This time around so far, so good!
Today I took advantage of the sunshine and rain combo to fertilizer the yard and give the trees a little Miracle Grow snack. I don't really have a green thumb, but planting 8 new trees really felt like a "Go Green" effort.
I can't wait until Nick is home to see the progress. He is going to be proud as well!
